Where everything started.
This is how everything started.
Hello, I am creating this blog with the intention of motivating myself to continue learning languages and improving my writing skills. Here, I will be compiling study materials as an archive for myself and for others who may find them useful.
During my younger years, I enjoyed writing and excelled in it, impressing my teachers with my abilities. However, like many talented children, I eventually experienced burnout. I allowed my anxiety to hinder me from writing, fearing that I could never produce work that was good enough. These factors combined ultimately led me to stop writing altogether, resulting in a significant decline in my writing abilities.
English is not my first language, and unfortunately, my native language skills are also lacking. However, I am creating this blog with the goal of finally expressing myself without being held back by grammar and language barriers. I will not allow technology to discourage me but rather embrace it, utilizing AI-generated materials to aid in my language learning and writing process.
I have set a lofty goal for myself - to speak 11 languages by the age of 35 (I am currently 28 years old). It may seem like a daunting task, but I am committed to dedicating myself fully to achieve this objective.
Here is the list of the languages I currently know and the languages I'm interested on:
- Portuguese (Native speaker).
- English (Currently C2).
- Norwegian (Currently A1 - Goal C2).
- French (A0 - Goal B2).
- Spanish (A0 - Goal B2).
- Japanese (A0 - Goal B2).
- Chinese (A0 - Goal C2).
- Korean (A0 - Goal B2).
- German (A0 - Goal B2).
- Polish (A0 - Goal B2).
- Hindu (A0 - Goal B2).
I wouldn't mind learning a few key phrases and words in other interesting languages such as Italian or Arabic. However, I will not include them in my list as I am not fully committed to learning them. Besides, the languages already listed are pushing my limits, and dedicating my entire life to learn those languages would be required to achieve this goal in 7 years. Nonetheless, setting high goals is part of my personality, and while there is only a small possibility of achieving this particular goal, it is still an improvement from my habit of setting impossible goals for myself.
In my upcoming posts, I will explain the reasons behind my decision to learn these languages, as there are specific motivations behind each choice.
Thank you for reading my first blog post.
